At a distance of 5 km from Bikaner Fort and 4 km from Bikaner Junction Railway Station, Lalgarh Palace is a royal palace situated in Bikaner.
Lalgarh Palace, is an architectural masterpiece built by the then Maharaja of Bikaner. It is a grand display of richness, both in terms of the history as well as the wealth. The palace has elaborate wings with huge corridors, all adorned with paintings and other extraordinary artefacts that make the place come alive with history. The palace is a great way to explore and fall in love with history, royalty and architecture. The brilliance of this palace can in fact be experienced more personally through a stay at the heritage hotel. A part of the palace has been transformed into this luxury hotel where you would be treated like royalty yourself, in the midst of regal interiors.
1. The Shri Sadul Museum which is located in the west wing which also contains the fourth largest private library in the world. The museum is open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on all weekdays except on Sunday.

Maharaja Ganga Singh built this indo-Saracenic structure in 1902 and named it after his father Maharaja Lal Singh. This memorial was designed by the British architecture Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob who blended Rajputana, Islamic and European architecture for the creation of this master piece.
Later in the year 1972, the 23rd ruler of Bikaner, Maharaja Dr. Karni Singhji created The Maharaja Ganga Singhji Trust for the preservation of Lalgarh Palace. In 1974, two of the wings of this palace had been converted into a heritage hotel and the trust runs it.
The three storied red sand stone structure consists of drawing rooms, smoking rooms, guest suites, several grand halls, cupolas, pavilions and a dining room with the capacity of 400 diners. Intricate Lattice work, filigree and decorated pillars are the most attracted features of this palace.
Due to the warm climate of Rajasthan, it is always advisable to visit this spot during winter. October to March is the best time to explore this historical monument.
Bikaner itself can be reached by road, railways or by air. The nearest airport to Bikaner is the Jodhpur International Airport. Lalgarh junction and Bikaner Junction are the two railway stations to reach Bikaner. The Lalgarh Palace is located two kilometers from the Lalgarh junction and thus can be reached via the local transport available at ease at Bikaner.
