Sariska Tiger Reserve is a tiger reserve in Alwar district, Rajasthan, India. Nestled by the mighty Aravali hills, the Sariska tiger reserve spans about 800 square kilometer covering cliffs, mountains, dry deciduous forests, grasslands and others. The tiger reserve is the home for numerous other animals other than tiger like chital, sambhar, rhesus macaque, jungle cats, wild boar and others. It is also home for many beautiful birds like crested serpent eagles, harbor quails, sand grouse and others.
This park is not just about natural beauty. This is the one of the famous tiger reserve in Rajasthan. Sariska Tiger Reserve was declared national park in 1990.
Dhok Trees are found in abundance. Khair, Cheela, Bamboo, Aam, Jamun, Arjun and Bahera are also present. The ground spread is fundamentally Ber, and Adusa.
More than 90% of the area is covered with Dhok trees inhabiting various wildlife species. It is home to various wildlife species such as Leopard, Sambhar, Chital, Nilgai, Four-Horned Antelope, Wild Boar, Rhesus Macaque, Langur, Hyena and Jungle Cats.
It is home to India’s biggest population of Peafowl, Harbours Quail, Sand Grouse, Golden- Backed Woodpeckers and Crested Serpent Eagles.
When you go on a jeep safari at Sariska tiger reserve, you can spot beautiful animals going about their day, especially tigers. Not only this, you can visit the Kankwadi fort, a place that could also be visited only by jeep safari. You also get to go bird watching while on the safari as the reserve is home to more than 220 species of birds with migratory birds from Europe, Central Asia, and other regions. Going on a safari can prove to be highly enjoyable if you go in groups as it would add an entirely different level of fun quotient to the trip.
Safari in Sariska Tiger Reserve is conducted in two separate time slots, the timings of which different in winter and summer.
Morning Safari Timings – 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM
Evening Safari Timings – 2 PM to 6 PM
Morning Safari Timings – 6 AM to 10 AM
Evening Safari Timings – 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM.

This is the one of the best place for wildlife lovers and spotting tigers which gives you a lifetime experience. Best time to visit is from October to June. Remains closed for visitors from July to September.

Neelkanth temple

Pandupol Hanuman Temple
Another temple located inside the temple premises is the Pandupol Hanuman Temple. The temple stands amidst a scenic waterfall. Having a mythological link with Mahabharata, the temple is visited by people to relax by the waterfall and also perform pilgrimage activities.
